Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 2026
Welcome to AduCare Online Medical Consult. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of this website and the online medical consultation services provided by AduCare Online Medical Consult. By booking or participating in a consultation, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
1. About AduCare Online Medical Consult
AduCare Online Medical Consult provides online medical consultations, health information, and professional medical guidance. Our aim is to provide accessible, confidential, patient-centered, and evidence-based healthcare.
2. Nature of Online Consultations
Online consultations are intended for medical concerns that can reasonably and safely be assessed remotely.
Telemedicine has limitations. Some medical conditions require a physical examination, laboratory testing, imaging, specialist assessment, or other in-person evaluation. Where appropriate, you may be advised to attend a healthcare facility for further assessment or treatment.
3. Emergency Medical Conditions
AduCare Online Medical Consult is not an emergency medical service.
If you are experiencing severe chest pain, severe difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, seizures, severe bleeding, signs of stroke, or another potentially life-threatening condition, please seek immediate medical attention at the nearest appropriate emergency department or healthcare facility.
4. Patient Responsibilities
Patients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information relevant to their care, including symptoms, medical history, medications, allergies, laboratory or imaging results, pregnancy status where relevant, and other information requested during the consultation.
Patients should not knowingly withhold information that may affect their medical assessment or treatment.
5. Appointments
Appointments are subject to availability. Patients should book through the approved AduCare booking system and attend their consultation at the scheduled time.
AduCare may occasionally need to change or reschedule an appointment because of unforeseen circumstances.
6. Payment
Consultation fees are payable before the scheduled consultation. An appointment may not be considered fully confirmed until any required payment has been received.
Any applicable consultation fee will be communicated to the patient before payment is requested.
7. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refunds
Patients may cancel or reschedule an appointment at least 12 hours before the scheduled consultation.
When at least 12 hours' notice is provided, the patient may choose either:
rescheduling the consultation at no additional charge; or
receiving a full refund of the consultation fee.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the scheduled consultation may be non-refundable.
AduCare may make reasonable exceptions in genuine exceptional circumstances.
8. Late Arrival & Missed Appointments
Patients are encouraged to join their consultation on time.
A 15-minute grace period will ordinarily be allowed. A patient who is more than 15 minutes late without contacting AduCare may have the appointment treated as a missed appointment, and the consultation fee may be non-refundable.
Where possible, patients who expect to be late should contact AduCare as soon as possible.
9. Cancellation by AduCare
If AduCare Online Medical Consult is unable to provide a scheduled consultation, the patient will be offered either:
rescheduling at no additional cost; or
a full refund of the consultation fee.
10. Technical Difficulties
Online consultations depend on internet connectivity, electronic devices, and communication platforms.
If significant technical difficulties prevent a consultation from taking place or being reasonably completed, reasonable attempts may be made to reconnect or continue through another appropriate communication method.
If the consultation cannot proceed because of significant technical difficulties, AduCare may offer rescheduling at no additional charge or, where appropriate, a refund.
11. Prescriptions, Investigations & Referrals
Prescriptions, laboratory investigations, imaging, referrals, medical certificates, or other medical recommendations will be provided only when considered clinically appropriate.
Booking or paying for a consultation does not guarantee that a particular medication, prescription, investigation, referral, or medical certificate will be provided.
12. When Online Care Is Not Appropriate
The doctor may determine during a consultation that safe or adequate assessment cannot be completed remotely.
In such circumstances, the patient may be advised to obtain an in-person examination, laboratory investigation, imaging, specialist consultation, emergency assessment, or other appropriate healthcare.
Where professional medical assessment has already commenced, the consultation fee will ordinarily remain payable even if subsequent in-person care is recommended.
13. Privacy & Confidentiality
Personal and medical information will be handled in accordance with AduCare Online Medical Consult's Privacy & Confidentiality policy.
Reasonable measures will be taken to protect patient information. However, electronic communication may carry inherent privacy and security risks. Patients should also take reasonable steps to protect their devices, passwords, email accounts, and other communication channels.
14. General Website Information
Health information provided on the AduCare website or through AduCare's educational content is intended for general informational and educational purposes.
Such information does not replace an individualized medical consultation and does not, by itself, establish a doctor-patient relationship.
15. Limitation of Online Assessment
Medical advice provided during an online consultation is based on the information available to the doctor at the time of assessment.
The accuracy and completeness of information provided by the patient may affect the assessment and recommendations made.
AduCare cannot guarantee that every medical condition can be diagnosed or managed through an online consultation.
16. Changes to These Terms
AduCare Online Medical Consult may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary to reflect changes in services, policies, applicable requirements, or clinical practice.
The current version will be made available on this website.
